This homemade cranberry syrup is an excellent ingredient in Christmas cocktails and mocktails.

  • 1 saucepan

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1.5 oz Vodka (optional)

Instructions

  • Put all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Once the mix starts to boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • If the cranberries burst and the syrup thickened, remove the saucepan from the heat and strain it into a bowl.
  • Optionally add Vodka and stir the syrup before letting it cool down.
  • Pour it into an airtight container and store it in the fridge until using it.
