Whiskey Sour

The original Whiskey sour recipe using Bourbon Whiskey, lemon juice, and simple syrup. No Egg white is this classic version.

Equipment

  • 1 Cocktail Shaker
  • 1 Hawthorne Strainer
  • 1 Jigger

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Bourbon Whiskey
  • 0.75 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz Sugar syrup
  • 1 egg white optional

Instructions

  • Add the Bourbon, lemon juice, and syrup to your cocktail shaker.
  • Add ice and shake for about 15 seconds.
    If you use egg white, shake first without ice, then add ice and shake again.
  • Strain over ice into a chilled sour glass.
  • Garnish with orange slice and Maraschino cherry
